Today we’ve got another Aukey Bluetooth speaker review for you, this time round we’ll be reviewing the SK-M15. This palm sized and budget friendly wireless speaker features a single 2W speaker driver, 5 hours playback time and a wireless range of up to 10m in addition to its ultra portable and user-friendly design.
The SK-M15 is is possibly the smallest speaker out of all the Aukey Bluetooth speaker reviews we’ve done so far, what I like most about this portable speaker is Aukey’s attention to portability.
In addition to its lightweight design, Aukey has included a very useful rubber strap which can be used to attach the speaker to a bike handle or similar objects.
Personally, I’m not much of a bike person – but my nephew on the other hand is a bit of a bike fanatic and he absolutely loves it. It’s really to setup – just check the Aukey SK-M15 instruction manual if you’re unsure.
2Design and Build Quality
In terms of its size and weight, the Aukey SK-M15 has to be one of the smallest portable speaker we’ve ever reviewed. Standing upright, the SK-M15 measures a measly 3.5 inches tall, 2 inches across and weighs an even 4oz. The speaker itself has a typical run of the mill cylindrical shape with a matt (enclosure) and glossy black (speaker grille) finish.
Controlling the SK-M15 is very simple as there are only 3 function buttons just above the base of the speaker, these include the volume down/previous track button, the play/pause button and the volume up/next track button. Pretty basic controls indeed but to be honest that’s all you really need. Hidden away behind a protective cover at the bottom of the speaker are the 2 input ports (Micro USB charging and AUX) and the power on/off toggle switch.
Build quality: Despite its lightweight and very minimalist design, the SK-M15 doesn’t feel cheap of flimsy at all. Aukey has designed it to be water-resistant, shock-proof and drop resistant – just for testing purposes I’ve even dropped it a few times onto solid concrete and it still works perfectly.
3Connectivity and Audio
I’ve tried it with my Samsung S6, my wife’s iPhone 6S and an iPad and they all connect without any issues at all – takes about 5 seconds tops. The wireless range is pretty good as well, 10m is good enough in my opinion.
Sound Quality: Firstly, this is a 2W speaker so don’t expect deep bass or anything extremely Loud.
The overall sound quality is pretty good considering the size and cost of the SK-M15 speaker, but once again the volume level is pretty basic and I wouldn’t really class this as “room filling” by any means. This model does not have a built-in microphone for hands free calls – I’m not really a fan of this but I still would have liked it to be there.
4Aukey SK-M15 Specs
|Dimensions||3.5 (H) x 2 (D) inches|
|Playback Time||Up to 5 Hours|
|Battery Charge Time||1.5 Hours|
The Aukey SK-M15 definitely won’t knock your socks off in terms of its audio performance but if you want a cheap wireless speaker that’s easy to take about, has a decent audio performance and strong enough to handle a few knocks and falls – the SK-M15 is definitely worth considering.

The Aukey SK-M15's limited volume level means it's more suited for those who want an individual listening experience. Overall, a very small and lightweight cheap wireless speaker that provides a decent audio playback for those on a tight budget.
