But more importantly, as you soon as you try them on you will realise that these headphones don’t just look pretty.

Comfort considerations have been clearly taken into account when designing these headphones and the result is the perfect combination between modern design and overall comfort.

Creative Outlier – Playback Modes

USB Audio – Selecting the USB audio mode will allow you play music stored on your PC or laptop using just a USB cable. Firstly, you’ll need to switch off the Outlier headphones and connect it to your PC/laptop then switch on the headphones again; windows will then automatically install the necessary drivers.

The Outlier also has its own dedicated PC and Mac software for you to fine tune the audio settings to your liking, this is available here.

Bluetooth – This is the default setting you will need to stream music from your phone or tablet. Switch on Bluetooth on your phone and search for the Outlier headphones to connect or just touch your NFC compatible phone to the NFC label on the headphone and wait for it to connect.

MicroSD Audio – The MicroSD audio mode will allow you to playback music from a MicroSD card. To get this up and running just insert the MicroSD card and switch the headphone to SD mode then the built in MP3 player will kick in, from here you’ll be able to skip tracks using the buttons on the headphones itself.

Creative Outlier – Comfort Test

I’m not generally a big fan of headphones; I’ve owned and tested quite a few headphones in the past and found most of them to be quite uncomfortable once I hit the 30 minute mark. The Creative Outlier is billed as a lightweight and very comfortable on-ear headphone so I wanted to see how long I could keep them on before it became uncomfortable.

Surprisingly, I was able to get through an entire movie without feeling a thing, the soft memory foam padding really does an excellent job at cushioning your ears, I’m pleased to say there was no sweaty ears after using them either.
